So living in the United Kingdom for 23 years. I spent a lot of that time in operations management sales and regional marketing in the hospitality industry.
Once that ran its course I started a business and recycling. It was quite an amazing time because the British had just put a tax levy on landfill. It used to be £20 per metric ton of waste. Because the island is much smaller than the United States of America, a lot of their landfill had been saturated. Therefore, they had to divert waste, going to landfill and promote and enhance recycling.
I was there at the right time in the right place
The tariff for dumping in landfill rose to £240 per metric ton. So business owners were looking for a new avenue and there I was.
Ahead of the curve I was because my company Green Waste Enterprises broker materials like plastic and cardboard to massive recycling dealers that shipped to China, etc.
So I acted on instinct, a hunch, we’re just playing intuition.
The reason I’m telling you this is because it led me to have a taste for entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship is a lovely word, but actually a hard task to become successful at.
I’ve worked hard learning about social media website design, marketing new technologies that I was not familiar with. I started this way back in 2007 and you could say that I’ve paid my stupid tax over and over again..
But a moment of triumph for me was knowing that everything I was involved with was going to come together in a combination of some very important knowledge. Now in 2024 I am back in the United States of America for 10 years. I have called a non-medical home care agency That was very profitable
A 990% return on investment so I’m very pleased about that. Saying that I always had Health Intrinsic Technology in tow behind the non-medical home care agency in case things didn’t work out and I’m glad I had that
Again, I say being an entrepreneur is
